Amanda Collins has experience representing employees in a wide range of employment law matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour violations. Amanda is a fierce advocate for clients from intake through trial preparation and arbitration, achieving exceptional resolutions through negotiation, mediation, and litigation. Amanda has taken multiple matters through arbitration and has prepared for trial in both state court and administrative settings. Always a fighter for the underrepresented, Amanda began her career providing legal aid to tenants facing housing insecurity, successfully defending unlawful detainers and enforcing tenant protections under California law. Amanda is able to draw on a background in both law and business to bring a pragmatic, client-centered approach to every case.
Amanda earned her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she was honored with the CALI and Witkin Awards for academic excellence in Negotiations. While in law school, Amanda volunteered with the Legal Aid Association, served as a mediator in Small Claims Court, and competed in national and international negotiation competitions. Amanda also holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
